NEWS..... 6th June 2008 FileMaker Pro offers and changes FileMaker Inc. have announced that, as and from Friday 26th September 2008, they will no longer be supporting FileMaker Pro 7, or offering replacement media for this product. As a result of this, they have a special upgrade price available for people who would like to upgrade from FileMaker Pro 7, 8 or 8.5 to FileMaker Pro 9 before this date. Publish! v2.1 The version number is 2.1 replacing the previous version 2. Features Include: Uses new email interface, as with CONTACTS! v3.1 The number of database files further reduced, reducing the cost of remotely hosting the database, improving performance and saving on file sizes. Click here for more information 13th December 2007 FileMaker Pro 9v3 Updater released FileMaker have released an updater to their current FileMaker Pro 9 range of database creation software. The updater is named 9v3 and can be run directly from any version of FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced without having to run any other updaters first. There are updaters for both PC and Mac. The version number is 3.1 replacing the previous version 3. Features Include: New e-mail settings area allows the flexibility of sending and receiving from different e-mail accounts. E-mails and attachments stored within the database, not hard drive folders. Easier access, when sharing e-mails and attachments with other users in your workgroup. Improvements on how you interact with attachments; open them and save them to other locations. Much simpler set up and ease of use. Other users no longer need to be connected to your machine in order to view e-mail attachments. Preview attachments that you have linked to your e-mail, prior to sending them. Click here for more information 6th November 2007 FileMaker announce Leopard compatibility update for FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced. FileMaker has released a downloadable update to make FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 'Leopard'. In addition to Leopard compatibility, the new 9.0v2 update addresses other issues, and FileMaker recommend that all users of FileMaker Pro 9 and FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced download it, including Windows users. FileMaker also mention when they expect to deliver a Leopard compatibility update for their Server products as well as information regarding previous versions of FileMaker Pro running in Leopard. FileMaker today announced the release of an updater for FileMaker Server 9. Issues corrected include in Mac OS X, the Web Publishing Engine stopped responding after running for approximately 5 days. A problem has also been fixed that would have caused PHP web publishing to stop working correctly on or after October 7, 2007. There have been security enhancement and additionally, when you click the Delete Record button and then click Cancel in the confirmation dialog box, the record is no longer deleted anyway.  Users of both Windows and Mac versions should install this updater (free) Click here for more details and links to the download.
