Existing Licences
If you already have some or all of the FileMaker licences that you need for your database (version 5.5 or above), you can purchase copies of WorkflowPLUS! without a FileMaker licence. For instance, if you need 25 copies of WorkflowPLUS! but you already have 5 copies of FileMaker, you would purchase 20 copies of WorkflowPLUS! with FileMaker licenses included and 5 copies of WorkflowPLUS! without FileMaker licenses. FileMaker Server is strongly recommended when using any FileMaker based system for 2 or more users. It is considered vital when the number of users exceeds 4. FileMaker Server will enable your system to be remotely hosted making for a far more secure connection to your database. It will protect your files in the event of any system crash, it enables you to set a timed back-up shedule to desktop or remote back up or storage and will significantly speed up your solutions performance where 3 or 4 users or more are connecting.

Note: In order to get the most gain out of the use of FileMaker Server it is considered best to have FileMaker Server running on a dedicated machine.
